Meet Didz...

My friend's rescued border collie x Australian kelpie had 9 pups (the mating was with a collie, so the pups are 3/4 border collie and 1/4 kelpie). I was strong, I really was... but not strong enough of course, and one of the pups chose me. I've never owned a BC before, so I have done some seeeerious research including reading all of Denise's stories on here (I'm scared!
) and he arrived on Sunday.
Already he is clean in the house, that's right after only 3 days he goes to his favourite spot in the grass to do his business, he knows the doggy house rules and we have 'come' and 'sit' sorted ('down' is almost there!). He dived in and started playing with the big boys from the very moment he arrived on Sunday afternoon, wrestling with my Floyd (schnauzer), Tiger (a staffie who's staying with us), and a boxer called Roxy who comes to stay most weekends - she immediately took up mothering him, giving him washes and protecting from the stampeding bigger boys which was very sweet. I've never known such a fearless pup! It's been easy compared to bringing up Floyd. So far, of course... he's already so full of character that I reckon he's going to be very cheeky when he's older.

He was 8 weeks on Saturday!
I can't believe how easy it's been so far. I'm not getting complacent though, haha.. I will definitely need to give him a job!

Floyd hasn't really been bothered, he's staying out of it mostly. He always does when strange dogs come to our house. "Oh doG, not another one..."
Didz and Tiger are proper best mates though, so it'll be sad when Tiger has to go home!
Here he is with Floyd and Mum 2.
Floyd really really needs a haircut, haha.

Welcome to the forum I myself never go near litters of puppies I would end up bringing one home each and every litter that I saw.
sounds like you have got you hands full with that little cross lol
I must admit having my daughters border collie cross and enjoying the training of him helped me to encourage my OH to getting another pup.
so now we have three
Rachel and the gang!
