yes Nick, that is Nacho not really interested in anyone else except me or food or his tennis ball 

He is very atune to me - we are very close in that if I am happy he is happy and vice versa - Every day that goes by I count myself very lucky to have him in my life - he has been my salvation and I adore him completely.     If only people were as loyal and loving as our dogs it would be a much happier world to live in

hmmm now just reading this Gracie will paly with some dogs one on one, but if two dogs come rushing up of muti dogs dogs, like we once joined a group of about 20 people and 25 dogs, and she jsut stuck by us or people that made a fuss of her wasnt too bothered by other dogs, esp the roughy toughy ones, yep one on one she she totally different, i always thought i hanr socialised her with muti dogs, but now i'm not so sure...

see i've thought this with dorain. he used to love other dogs when he was a pup - but now he really aint that bothered. he prefers to go and hunt. and i have always wondered if he would have been happier if i hadn't got duibh. 

when we met the bloke with the clumbers in the park last year - all girls - dorain seemed to like them - but as soon as i let him off to play with them he went s*d that and disappeared hunting.  but he did love other dogs when he was younger, so i wonder if it was me.....

you two don't live that far apart though do you - you could have a weim get together. 

seem to be pockets of people  - london way, kent, midlands, new forest way, and north east - is just me that's all by myself.

dodge is a pack animal for sure but he only happy with dogs like him (big and like to play rough)! the difference in him since we've had Tila has been amazing.

Mine are not. The only like the girls, but if those girls come in numbers they'll pick one as their favourite and will let the others be as they are. And at times they don't even like eachother either. All those 2 think is 'memememememe'  . Quite unlike my Bouviers. They were sharers. Groenendaelers are not. It's all about who's on top and who's not. But they are happy as long as the rules are clear  .

I think Diesel that is true for all dogs - all pack animals - if the rules are clear then they are happy.  it is when there is inconsistency that they become unsettled.  Only my opinion and my experience    Suppose it all comes down to mutual respect

Where are you GSP?
I was reading a book think it was Brenda Aloff one that said from about 18 mothns dogs dogs can stop the puppy playing, they less bothered... deff find that with Gracie she now picks and chooses who she races around with.

on another note sorry abit off topic, buts its about play, Gracie has a friend Arthur a sprocker, he young about 2 and they race round, the other day she was racing round for a good 30 mins, none stop pretty much, i dont think she normmaly does that much running with him normally has breaks, but the other day he kinda bowled her over and she just fell / laid flat out on her side, feet out, you know how i mean, not submission and she did it a few times and arthur was stood barking at her, she had cut her tounge (sp) seemed ok till them, but after that and on her eve walk she seemed a bit 'funny' - was she just tired do you think? we stopped the play and i took her home.

I've seen a whole heap of changes to my dogs from adding to pack, having fosters/other peoples dogs + amilou in house here.

William ... gloriously happy as an only dog but grateful for relief from unhappy pack manager role

Bonnie ... would scream the house down as an only dog, doesnt interact much with William unless pushed.

Misty ... would secretly like to rule the roost but not up to the job just yet.  lives well under bonnie would also scream her days away as an only dog.

As a pair B&M are amazing they are already back playing and trying to squash into the same dog bed !!  If I knew of someone that would give their whole self to my special man I would let him go and keep the Mist lass wi' us as really and truly William would like a dear old man to trot him round the block once a day, fetch the papers and sit recounting the good ol' days.  Wills would just prefer to be left alone and will shout at them like an old granda' if they get too roughety too close haha !!

i was facinated watching beau with izzies girls, in the house he let them get on the couch (normally his place) without any hassle just the odd dirty look now and then and he even let trixie sit with me on the couch just as he would, nothing not a peep (if that had been ben, not a chance) he had a couple of scuffles with jess, once ove one of his toys and once because jess was barking too close to hannah so he nipped her bum and told her off...

he didn't seem to bothered about playing with them inside or outside, though he did try to round them up at one point and didn't get anywhere with that bless him    i'll be interested in how he and jess get on when it is just the two of them and izzie

Yes, right  . But i do think that certain breeds uhm ....  ...how put this  .... well, kind of need more 'back up' from their master and are more 'clear' in showing the other(s) who's boss. Making any sence  ....
Like this; my bouviers more quiet, more calmer. Once 1 takes the lead the others will follow 'simpler'. Not many times it will be chalanged. With my boys now... not an inch given in or chalanged constantly. My last bouvier and my Wodan...... If only i could show you those 2 together as they were. was perfect example of how different the breeds are in talking to eachother. Bouviers did not seem to need my backup, or atleast not much. But Groenendaelers seem to have a constant need to know they got master behind them.
