Photo's Of Cass On Holiday.
« on: July 05, 2008, 03:40:26 PM »
This is the place we stayed in, it was an old victorian railway carriage that had been converted into a one bedroomed apartment set in an orchard in a village.

We had a really good week & i took plenty of photo's of Cass exploring the countryside. Couldn't have asked for better wether, the only downfall was that there were either very narrow paths by the roads or no path at all & it made Cass really nervy of the traffic again so it was hard to keep her calm with cars getting so close.

I am hopeful that i can repair it now we are home and get her walking by the roads again without her panicing. It was a shame really because i thought if anything she would be better on isolated country lanes than she is in the city but it seems the opposite, however much to Bev's pleasure my glass is still half full & i am ready to repair the lead walking and training now we are home.

Oh and by the way, how did my feet get sunburn through my socks anyway? LOL  :o ;D ;D

The place is in Cambridge about a 5 minute drive from the west Norfolk borders. The village itself is Wisbech St Mary.

Well i had one incident with a certain person nagging about the dog like an old spinster but i decided not to let it ruin my break, although it definately tainted it somewhat because i've never wanted to tell someone to shut the fack up so much in all my life but i couldn't do it because they were a friend of my friend! LOL

Anyway, Cass loved the freedom, she had so much fun in the open fields and it was so nice to get away. Some people find isolation scary but i absolutely love to be away from the city, i'm the sort of person you could put in a field in the middle of nowhere & i'd be in my element.

Even without going for walks through the fields we had our own orchard outside the back door to ourselves which was fantastic.

Honestly Suz you should have heard it. The woman in question was nagging incessantly at Cass telling her to go away at the top of her voice & making such a scene in front of everyone - what pissed me off was that on most of the occasions she kept telling Cass to go away she wasn't anywhere near her & the silly cow was just making a big show like an old fishwife, then when Cass did lie down well away from the woman she then started making even more fuss and complaining because Cass was breathing hot air & the lady was hot - forget the fact the stupid bitch was sitting in a sodding conservatory on the hottest day of the year eating a bloody hot dinner!

It was just someone who complained about everything & it wouldn't have mattered what the dog was doing because they would just find something else to complain about. It was in the company of lots of prefessional people & i felt like it was being made to look like i wasn't controlling my 'Beast' just because the person making all the fuss clearly didn't like Rottweilers & would find any reason to start nagging.

I have never been quite so restrained in the face of such pathetic nagging & total ignorance toward my feelings. Believe me i would have wiped the floor with anyone else had i not been in the company i was, but i was determined not to let a big drama queen with no life of thier own spoil our holiday so i just did the one thing all drama queens hate - i completely ignored her! LOL

Mark thats awful  :( silly woman, your right you probably annoyed her more by ignoring her than by taking notice of her nonsense  >:D  ;) Good thing Cass was well behaved - probably given the woman a coronary otherwise  >:D

Best thing to do, good on you Mark. The others probably thought she was behaving like a prat too, just didn't want to say anything ;)
