see duibh has a good upsit - and i can't remember how bev did it - and for some reason we can't have done it with dorain or brainless pointer has forgotten (and brainless me  :D ). will try going back to luring.

he knows the sit.  :) but bev told me not to use 'sit' from the down position and that should be 'upsit'.

freeshaping hurts my eardrums so think we will try luring first!!  :D

Dex does this really well but I just say sit. When we went to dog training, they taught it that when you wanted them to sit from the down to touch their front feet but keeping one hand on their back/bum, seemed to work ok :)

oooh lordy.. we did this with Bev.. am racking my brains how we / she did it.. but it was done with the clicker me thinks and we use a fist as the visual cue... clenched fist arm down  -  then raise fist / bend elbow... a bit like flexing your muscles...  :D  maybe we 'lured' with a treat above nose and up + backwards so he had to 'upsit' to follow it... I think

see we did it with duibh - but i don't think we did it with dorain - and i have forgotten how.  ::)

was definitely a clicker involved... usually is.  ;D

but that sounds familiar actually xtine.

the luring is working to get him to sit front end up while keeping bum on floor. may need to look at how i am using arm positions to lure tho.  ;)
