Embarassing moments

Ok, here's your chance to share with your DC friends a particularly embarassing moment. It doesn't have to be life-altering just enough to make everyone laugh and maybe feel a little sorry for you 

I'll start.

I'm in no way what one might regard as a 'sensitive new-age man'  But! I can be ridiculously emotional. Especially when watching movies. I get the crap scared out of me at scary movies, I'm on the edge of my seat at thrillers and I cry at sad ones. as you'll see.....

I was on my 3rd date with this girl, we went over to her friends house to watch a movie. The movie was Philadelphia with Tom Hanks.   Do y'all remember the scene where Hanks was talking to his lawyer (Denzel) and he put on the Aria sung by I think Maria Callas?   Well, by that point in the movie I was just barely holding it together, desperately trying to maintain my cool tough guy persona....well, I lost it! I don't mean I just shed a tear or two and got a little sniffle...I started BLUBBERING! Sobbing out of control, shoulders shaking head in my hands....well, you get the picture . It got so bad that they both got up, left the house and went to the bar, with the parting words of "join us when you've pulled yourself together"     

Don't know what made me think of that.....but that was about 15 years ago, and yes, we're still together.

nothing springs to mind - I already shared the smacking my head on the hand dryer in the toilets while shopping - infront of a ton of people................

No, nothing for me really either, i tend to laugh when i fall over or do stuff in front of people!  The only one i can think of is when i argued id paid with a £20 in the corner shop then realized i only took a tenner    i haven't been back in since!

or heard people talking about you talking to the cash machine

or fallen off a horse infront of about 400 people with a microphone attached to you swearing your head off

No but i got bitten in the belly by the devil horse no one else would ride after a hack one day, and i had to pretend it didn't hurt, coz he wasn't getting the better of me    when actually i wanted to scream!    My dad quipped the horse thought it was a pork pie

When I was 18 had just been down one of those tube slides at the swimming pool, the fastest one of course! came out at the bottom, walked out of the water, and noticed 2 boys staring at me, thought oh yeah, so walked on past my best walk trying to impress .......but with my left NIPPLE poking out of  my cossie!!

ive been in a mountain rescue ambulance
and 3 diffrent ambulances 

theres really only my pelvis left to break and really im not going to try that one

i had beed of a paramedic when i dislocated my knee in may...they were both female...and neither were my type

oh I have hunners - got into wrong car once when I nipped in to a shop for some juice.  that was hilarious.

got jeans cut off when I broke my leg - had no knickers on    was slim and young then (and drunk!!)
