Ooooh and Bev - have been thinking waaaay more about this trick...

So, woud he be able to differentiate between worn and unworn clothes by scent?

And presumably he'd be able to dfferentiate between different people's clothing?

So he could e.g. be sent off arond the house to collect all of my dirty washing, then sent off to collect all of Richard's (am thinking of when we living together as I wouldn't want Rafe to have to put my flatmate's grotty clothes in his mouth!)....
