As to be expected - walking like hes been at the left over xmas sherry
worryingly he wouldnt eat this morning - but has tonight so we good on that front and he not wet himself again so we all good there - Honey REALLY needs to learn to keep outta the way though - hes nearly fallen and squashed her twice
Just keep fingers crossed, next 24/48 hours is always the telling time......but at moment he cannot get in and out of house on his own - loads of snow is NOT helping, not fair on him if he cannot get in and out the house - so we will see

Hey Diesel - how are you?
Hes doing okish - it is NOT being helped because we cant get him out for little walks - we normally do and gets him moving, darnt in this weather hes too unstable and this snow..woirried he would break a leg!
No meds though - none at all..............vets do so little we disnt even take him this time - its so stressfull when hes like that, hes just on his metacam for his back legs - not sure thats doing him so much good but he needs it....just making him comfortable now for however long he has left
we love him so much and hes still happy happy!

Heyah Soozz
.
(Been busybusy with Wodan, will explain later why
.)
Not on any meds at all? Wodan had cortison pills (prednisol)for 2 months (from start, building it down to none at all. It junk stuff i agree, but it work miiiiracles for my boy). When he was completely taken off from it i was told to watch he wouldn't relaps. Cause if his body wouldn't start making cortison by itself, or if he became wobbly and weaker again, he would have-or god forbid- will have to take them for the rest of his life in very small dosige.
He's been for the entire duration, so since the very next day after the stroke, and always will be until he's taken from me on Karsivan. It's a human med for strokes. It's to keep bloodclots from forming.
Vet told me he can not test or see if bloodclot that caused his stroke is flushed out or that he has potential for other clots. So he on Karsivan to prevent that. Only thing i have to worry about now is if he somehow has another severe stroke again or if he really injures himself with much blood. Cause his white bloodcells won't make him heal as fast as usual as Karsivan is a 'bloodthinner' (don't know the english word for that
).
This puzzles me. In the uk it seems almost 'common' that dogs that had a stroke is not written of straight away like here in Belgium. Yet on the other hand we seem to use more human meds for dogs that over there where you are.
Pooooor Buster,
, lucky he's got you guys to take care of him.
I know what you mean with the snow.
It been snowing her for 2 days in a row without ending a second. Wodan not like the snow anymore. Due to the state of his coat now and because he trips over things a lot and can't keep his feet underneath him if he slips away
. So work is out of the question, but atleast he can go out into the garden.
(the meds 'prednisol' and 'karsivan' are noooot cheap though.
)
