Aggression towards other dogs

I have a 3yr old lurcher x bedlington terrier. Shes a brilliant dog, good on/off lead, brilliant with small children and cats, zero food agression, no problems with chewing/biting, very responsive to training. We're third owners and know she was attacked by a husky resulting in serious facial injuries and was never socialised as a pup, kept in a flat then locked outside in a large yard, As a result she freaks when she sees another dog wether shes on/off lead, barking, snapping, lunging and growling, so far no training had worked, quite distressing for her, help wanted!!!

For general training all it took was reward training, learnt very easily. For the aggression weve tried clicker, rewarding good behaviour, distracting. Unfortunatley no training clubs will take her because of the aggression so we're trying on our own...

Have you considered one to one training with a behaviourist ? Usually a lot of this is down to timing and body language of dog to understand what is going on. A decent behaviourist would be able to help you. One that knows what they are talking about and doesnt just have a qualification. Where are you based?

You should check out Sarah but if no joy then Davy Davies is very good - he is in Darlington. Did a lot of work with him on tracking and scenting. He does one to ones and is excellent.
