Claws!!!! (Bain of my life with dogs lol)

Ok..... most of you know what a mare Piper was having her claws clipped  (eh Suz  ) Well.... Sky's just as bad  Managed to clip her dew claws while she was asleep tonight but she soon woke up and sussed what I was doing 

I bought a Mikki Nail File a while ago and she actually doesn't mind them being filed but it takes ages and barely makes a difference!!

Any suggestions, I know some of you use a dremmel but I can't afford one, is there a better/stronger nail file available for dogs anywhere?

the mikki one is that the battery operated one if so yup its fab for my chihuahuas nails but probably quicker watching paint dry than using that on a staff haha!

have you tried ebay sometimes the dremels are fairly cheap

No its not a battery one, just a file.... so yeah paint drying is a lot quicker lol 

Mmm will have a nosey on Ebay, are the Dremmels noisy though?

Gracie was a nightmare with claws, we called a local groomer to come to the house who did it quick quick no fuss (with me out the room) after about 6 times of her coming Chris is able to do them now, not as quick as groomer but gets em all done.

Have ordered a Pedicaure file, £3.50 plus p&p... apparently they're normally £19.99 so think I have a bargain

I'm wondering if we are talking the same thing here  I googled Pedicure and got this battery powered dog one..... oh well shall give it a dog and if its naff it hasnt cost the earth and I'll be off to Boots

have you got the pedpaws oe? if so its ok - i have one for manny and it takes a while -but i can clip then fnish with that so it not TOO bad.......but it not wonderful but he DOES have bloody thick strong nails.....

Yes I think it is called that, will let you know how we get on when it arrives! Its just her front claws that get so long! And her due claws, Piper's were removed as a pup so I'm still getting used to those
