some pics for you to look at ...will get the vid izz mentioned up when we find it

the chase off

you need to learn some manners boyo

leave my pack mate alone

i said leave my pack mate alone !!

i mean it!!! see how ami is now going in to help him learn without taking on the GS

bloody well behave i am managing this boyo

I SAID PACK IT IN!!

right thats it

leave her alone !!!

two strong pack managers....ami comes to tell the GS she being too hard on her pup...

look at the size of the GS compared to my wee pup boy...these are all dogs working out the rules with each other...it look rough at times...to us humans...it the way they communicate and learn...

that GS used to be like your wee girl...time...understanding the right re-enforcement...training...

she will get there if you guide her right and the boys will be fine  :)

dont just look glance...stare and look at the body language

in pic 2...look at the body works of the GS...weight distribution...ears...high tail....she offering every chance...he a pup not learnt it all at that point...

pic 3

look how the beagle is looking at the GS for reassurance...look at the GS stalking coming forward

pic 4

body blocking him

fraggle was trying to body block....he was learning testing the block...he not used to doing it but his natural communation techniques are kicking in

am looking for it...liv a pup...cubes just adult...not sure if trix was there ...liv and cubes being liv and cubes but it getting rough lol......jess goes in to investigate....but ami follows on her tail and tells off pups and then sends jess back to you... she being ami as in looks like a pit bull on a fight day....jess does what she does when ami like that and empowers herself before doing her lip curl and okokok i hear you now bog off....ami accepts then ami really tells off cubes ...shows teeth and sustains livs down...

it was a good vid...would have sent it somewhere

Is stalking other dogs a herding/controlling thing?  I used to walk two lurchers on lead and they would do it to every dog that approached, I mean bellies to the ground and a GSD pup does it too when other dogs approach.

brilliant photos, Willow is the Queen of the lip curl and air snap, body blocks Ami and was always doing it to Tam when I told him off  or told him to wait for us.

Bluebell does a fantastic glare - honestly it is a staring competition and she will not back down  >:D unless of course it is Elsa and then she doesnt even glare at all - Elsa rules - paws down.   ;)

Nope - I let them get on with it - but always on my toes - ready to intervene if it gets out of hand

mugatea,,,yep it a herd thing..that can be a management style...
for herders it a natural genetic response...for hunters...like lurchers it a hunting technique...like lions on prey...
ami hates it...does her head in...loathes it hates it with a vengence...if i didnt cue her off a stalk...she would react bigtime
