the only prob you may have is that if he finds it non rewarding as in it is too hard for him to work at - then he may be reluctant in future - this is a teeth cleaning bone not a meal bone.
please be prepared for it to upset his tum - it is just his gut flora adjusting

get chicken wings in pack - fresh or frozen -  about £1.50 for a dozen.  Get them at supermarket.  Go to farmfoods or iceland or something buy a big bag.  If not frozen, freeze them then defrost.  Feed them straight out of the packet.  Once he is used to it and has confidence eating them they will disappear very quickly.

but .... before you do
falkor lost 1/3 of his bowel and 1/4 of his gut at 18 months after scavenging on the streets - his story is in to clueless!!
that was 5 years ago - and since then he has been on a 70% natural diet with lots of raw bone - no problems....

the post prayers please....is what happens when a dog eats cooked bone.....yes it did us a favour this time but your dog may not be so lucky

We braved it and gave him his first wing today...
It took him a good ten minutes to get through... He took it off to his crate which made it quite hard to watch him...
He didn't use his paws to hold it down which made it more challenging for him...
goD we were nervous!

he's asleep again now.....

awww bet he loved it! honey never holds her chicken wings down - just crunches straight through she can eat one in thirty seconds  piggy!  you going to be giving him more then?

yes.. we've just got a greatdiet plan from Kiz... we'll have a good read and think about when to start him on it.
We gave him that instead of his 4 o'clock dinner... he didn't mind! lol
