Hi kizkiznobite which poster are you refering to??? my pic of the mum & dad as its not a poster but a photo of them both, sorry about this but lm not sure who is replying to mine so l will reply to all until l get used to the site.

Depends where you live I know someone in Southampton that does it without GA if you want to go that far mail me and I will give you her number.
The vets prices depend on the area but also how many they do ask Dodgers breeder would be my advice she will know

i doubt one of my parents are willing to drive me 6 hours away (if only i was 17 ::))
but i never thought about my breeder! will ask her thanks  :)

ive just rang my vets and they do it in morpeth or blyth, it's 50 pound then you got the sedation fee on top off that and that depends on the weight of the dog  :)

If you do it without the GA do you then just need you dog to lie still??

The dog must be either under GA or sedated, very few dogs would stay still without either especially during the hip scoring because of how they stretch the hing legs out.

so could you ask your vet to sedate him instead of GA?  i really don't want to put him under unless it's nessercery (wish i could spell ::))

Some vets will not sedate and only give GA, some will do either, but you MUST organise this BEFORE you take dog in.

okay thanks! i'll see what my breeder says and then i'll give me vet a ring  ;D
do you know if getting their elbows done is the same price as their hips? and what about hemophillica (the blood thing i sooo can't spell ::))
