great you found this link Nat- think it important to bump it. 

Few dogs in the area been diagnosed recently.  One weim puppy sent to vet school because of blood shot eye - was bleeding out because of it.

Whoa, I'm sure I posted about this recently, too...

When down in London I was told about it...

They have a preventative spot-on, and I can't remember the name of the thing...  Every month needs to be applied.

Can anyone else clarify - this was 2 months ago, so not long ago at all...

Hi,

just to reiterate from SP - there is no preventative treatment for any kind of worm

dog gets them - chemicals kill them

its only "preventative" in the sense it can prevent condition getting very bad but not in the true sense of the term :)

re: SP again, I gave my William milbemax, he was really ill after it twice :(  not wormed since.
