Last year, maybe the year before, Fritz discovered that the upstairs neighbour has a couple of house cats, and as you know he also has issues re the back garden re the tw*t from a few doors down trying to climb over cause he thought R had punctured his paddling pool ::)
so…. what usually happens is: he hears the back door key either being picked up / going in the lock, door opening.. mad scramble to the door to check all is ok. We have this under some control, he not allowed out there unless we give the say so.. he pretty good at this but can’t resist the urge to race over to see anyway..
now… when he is allowed out, he’ll go check the back fence for stupid neighbours who should grow up, then he’ll turn round to see if the cats are there… at this point he will huff and puff.. he knows now that if he growls or shouts he has to go in..
so he has moved it on himself me thinks…
What he does now is has a huff and puff and then a bit more and then a frustrated wimper and before we can cue the ‘in’ he takes himself in and stands inside at the door looking up at the ceiling and whines with frustration.. so he is self cueing, yes?
It’s as if he knows he’s about to be told so preempts it… is very odd.. but very handy 😀
Would love to know your thoughts ? :-\
Apart from that his bum still smells 😀 and he’s 3 on Wednesday 😮 😮 😮
