Val i know you’ve probably said this a load of times but i can’tseen to find it on the board. Where is a good place to get a dog hip/elbow scored and whats the average cost??January 3, 2008 at 4:54 pm #75890AnonymousGuest
Depends where you live I know someone in Southampton that does it without GA if you want to go that far mail me and I will give you her number.
The vets prices depend on the area but also how many they do ask Dodgers breeder would be my advice she will know
ValJanuary 3, 2008 at 4:57 pm #75891
i doubt one of my parents are willing to drive me 6 hours away (if only i was 17 ::))
but i never thought about my breeder! will ask her thanks 🙂January 3, 2008 at 5:00 pm #75892
ive just rang my vets and they do it in morpeth or blyth, it’s 50 pound then you got the sedation fee on top off that and that depends on the weight of the dog 🙂January 3, 2008 at 5:04 pm #75893
If you do it without the GA do you then just need you dog to lie still??January 3, 2008 at 5:05 pm #75894
niko aint going to lie still at all! :-\ he will have to have a GA 🙂January 3, 2008 at 5:06 pm #75895SweetypyeMember
The dog must be either under GA or sedated, very few dogs would stay still without either especially during the hip scoring because of how they stretch the hing legs out.January 3, 2008 at 5:08 pm #75896
so could you ask your vet to sedate him instead of GA? i really don’t want to put him under unless it’s nessercery (wish i could spell ::))January 3, 2008 at 5:10 pm #75897SweetypyeMember
Some vets will not sedate and only give GA, some will do either, but you MUST organise this BEFORE you take dog in.January 3, 2008 at 5:11 pm #75898
okay thanks! i’ll see what my breeder says and then i’ll give me vet a ring ;D
do you know if getting their elbows done is the same price as their hips? and what about hemophillica (the blood thing i sooo can’t spell ::))
