Mothers ::) …. those women…. they try to protect us but sometimes use the most wrong words they possibly could 😛 .Dorrydog, you get better you. This going on long enough now, your mam very worried 🙁 .
with my mother i sometimes wonder….
but i think in this case she has come to the conclusion i have had him a very long time – or feels very long to her – if he was well i would point out average age in KC breed survey is 12yrs 8mths and that is average – 14 or 15 is nicer… but as it was. 🙁
June 22, 2008 at 2:05 pm #81450AnonymousGuestI hate to say it again but I must ::) he needs a chiropactor one could find the pain source in ten mins or less can you stick some picture up for Bev and me to have a look, side on front and back straight as possible

yep – unfortunately no further forward. 🙁joint taps were normal. so he thinks it may be soft tissue – but difficult to assess further since he couldn’t find a pain source – so has suggested either 4-6mths strict rest – no jumping twisting leaping etc – like that’s going to happen with a loony dorain unless i actually hobble him – or crate him…. OR do what makes the lameness worse, try and make him lame so we can find a consistent pain source and then investigate it – which i guess is what i’m going to have to do. :-\ :'(
he is trying to send me to an early grave.
June 22, 2008 at 6:30 pm #81451SuzAndTheDivaMemberyep Terry stick some pics up – at the VERY worst a chiro isnt going to make the matter worse even if they cant help – chances are they will help though 🙂

June 25, 2008 at 2:28 pm #81457GSPmadMemberbev has actually seen him and also seen pics – have had her out for some behaviour stuff. it seems mainly to be his shoulders, and he is getting swollen over back of shoulderblade. have rung specialist today for further clarification and am waiting for him to call back. :-\
will put up some pics tho – if i can as comp keeps crashing when i put photos on ::) and is also hard to get the git to stand still and i have only one pair of hands. we also have a dogs chewing on bones and not wanting to be interrupted to be photographed issue at the moment, which will definitely cause a lack of standing still, but will try and get pics later. 😀
specialist not fond of chiros – he is a very good osteo specialist vet but don’t think he really does alternative med. 😀 but he said he had seen a dog paralysed by a chiro… i am guessing it must have had a disc problem so i might be prepared to let a chiro loose on the front end of my dog (not the back as he does have the disc issues there and i really wouldn’t want to risk the manip there :-\ ) but am not sure what they could do about the swelling and stuff since they more work on spine manip, if it is more a ligament or tendon problem….
also still have the issue of finding one that i would trust – i am very fussy about who gets near my dogs ;D – and there aint much in the way of choice round here – though the one at burton-on-trent that doesn’t travel this far is meant to be good and i could poss take him over to her…. :-\ anyway, will try and get pics later.
June 25, 2008 at 2:47 pm #81459AnonymousGuesthave you seen this lady ?
http://www.veterinary-chiropractic.co.uk/index.htm
she’s in worcs but does all midlands.
June 25, 2008 at 2:57 pm #81460GSPmadMemberhaven’t tried her, will drop her an email (if i can find an email address on there), thanks – tho she is further away than the burton woman so we may have the same problem with travel. :-\ burton woman (who i have forgotten name of, am sure i will remember at some point 😀 ) was recommended by ivan danne who was recommended by val, which is why i had my eye on her (in a manner of speaking 😀 ).
