This is really interesting & proves the point that most people don’t actually know what a Pitt Bull Terrier looks like. I am ashamed to say i got it wrong, it took me 2 tries to get it right.

I understand your point Mark and yes, most people don’t know what an actual “Pit” Bull looks like exactly. In fact most of the people who own them don’t know either. I can’t count how many Bull terrier owners have called their dogs “Pits” .  However, it doesn’t change the fact that of those 25 dogs pictured, i would seriously consider crossing the street for about 15 of them unless i felt 100% positive that they were under control.  Sad but true.

me got it right.  ;D me has done it before tho – but got it right then too.  😉

think both mine are pit bulls.  ::)

crossing road would depend whether dog is under control – and who is on end of lead also in fact (or not lead  :-X ).

but have made that mistake before – neighbours of my mother’s in field with golden ret & akita off lead – called dorain back & leashed him (this was before i got duibh). had eye on akita…. golden retriever attacked dorain.  :-X :-X :-X >:( >:D and woman said to me accusingly – ‘he doesn’t like other dogs on leads’.  >:D he used to terrify my little brother too as he’d run up & down boundary barking – think it’s why isaac was scared of dogs – and lie in middle of pavement… that dog is dead now – they got a new golden – nice at first – now behaves same as last one.  >:D

anyway i digress – point was i try not to look at breed – more at numpty owners.  >:D >:D
