Can someone help explain to me why any VET of sane mind would spey a bitch or castrate a dog at 8 weeks from a private breeder.  Not rescue but private sale cos I do not understand how it is in dog’s best interest. :help:

This started in the good old USA have to say first our dog problems are nothing compared to there’s, some bright bod came up with this idea possible with the vets rubbing their hands together.
I have groomed some dogs that were detached from their parts at this age I do a Westie that is as tall as a BT and a border that has fluff for a coat and legs as long as a lab he has also suffered two broken legs and he’s not yet two.

The one i groomed had a bad shoulder – dislocated at a young age never repaired as you would of expected for a dog of that age!!

None at all so far – well behaved – goes to classes – great on lead – great temperament – lovely girl – had no health issues so far – think she is about 6 months now.

Just felt quite upset that she had been done so young.  :-\

well she will go very leggy…and she will have retained juvenility…she will prob develope urine leakage later in age and she may well start to put out hormone smells that will attract male dogs…if she was mine would get her on gluc. and cond. supplements…is she fed natural?
