Hi all, i am a newbie to Dog Board, and hoping i am posting this question in the right area!.
I have a 6 year old Rottie bitch, who is lovely, she is very well behaved and a lovely pet to have. I would however love to take her to training classes, where she can socialise with other Rotties and people. Sadly because of the reputation the breed has, our local park is very anti rotties, and we tend to find people running to the other side of the park to avoid you. There are also some really stupid people with no control over their dogs letting them off leash and making pains of themselves.
I live in the Birmingham area, and would love to find somewhere to take her, it would be fun for both of us. I used to take my standard poodle to a local club and it was great fun, however as the club became more popular, the classes got larger and i found it was a bit manic. And because my rottie has not been too well socialised, although she is great with people, she gets over excited with other dogs and not quite certain what to do with them!! Then you get people pulling faces at you.
Hoping you guys can help me. Thanks for reading my waffle and i look forward to chatting to you all soon.

Have you joined the breed club?
Most arrange meets and shows so you can get to know other people and their dogs.
