    the breed is not extinct as such – it supplied the genetics for another breed – there are ‘local’ supporters and clubs but how true these dogs are to the original lines or if they have been ‘copied’ is debatable
    i have only ever seen one – during my travels up north  ;D it is often referred to by another name – again taken from the area of it’s origin  ;D
